The Secret To Eating Yourself Lean; Nutrition Challenge!

You are what you eat right, so what exactly is a healthy diet for you? Well you might be surprised…

While it’s commonly agreed and widely accepted that certain things are bad for your health, or unhealthy; eating your body weight in cheese, or drinking excessive amounts of sugary drinks for example. However when it comes to exactly what is a healthy diet well that depends in no small amount on you.

A healthy diet is unique to the individual and affected by; age, height, weight, activity levels. So where do we start?? We start by figuring out what is healthy for us, not everyone but us specifically. ?

The keys to a healthy diet for weight loss or muscle gain is down in the main to ensuring your body has the correct amount of calories per day for your goals. More importantly that your body has the correct amount of calories from these three sources: Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats.

  • Carbohydrates – Carbohydrates (carbs) are what your body mainly uses for energy, but they’re also important for controlling your hormone levels. ?
  • Proteins –  Protein is mainly used as the building blocks of muscle in your body. ?
  • Fats – Fats are mainly used for energy, energy storage and as the building blocks of many hormones so it’s important to get enough of them to keep your body working properly. ?

The balance of these three sources of calories is important because of the different roles they play in you body. For instance when you’re trying to get toned and lose body fat it’s important to get around 40% of your calories from Protein sources and less from Carbohydrates.

This can all get a little complicated and sciencey so we’ve made it simple and given given you a macro calculator for cutting weight and toning up!
Simply enter your details and you’ll receive your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) and get a breakdown of the amounts of Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats you should be having for a healthy diet that will fuel your transformation!
