Sometimes I think my journey has taken a lot longer than others. But when I think back over the past few years, I wouldn’t change anything because I know I had to have certain experiences to get to the point I’m at now. I had to learn that the quick fixes and binge diets don’t work. I had to learn that hating or starving myself didn’t work. I had to learn how to be disciplined, consistent and dedicated. I had to learn how to prioritise my needs and how to love myself (still working on this one every day!). In particular, I’ve had to learn that I don’t need to look a certain way, I just need to be healthy (and maybe strong ???♀️). .
All this learning takes a freaking long time! But if I hadn’t experienced all those things, I wouldn’t have the drive and determination I have today and I wouldn’t work as hard as I do to maintain my health and fitness. .
